German Telleruhr Tischzappler Clock, circa 1745.
A very rare GERMAN TELLERUHR TISCHZAPPLER CLOCK signed REICHENEDER , BURGHAUSEN, Silvered and embossed metal case with calendar aperture below the engraved copper dial. Clock retains its original carved giltwood and rococo decorated case. Large Zappler clocks are uncommon , and to find one with its original case is important. These cases are fragile usually never survived, clock and calendar work well. Has experienced many repairs over the years, yet retains beauty and character of a true Rococo period antique. Most of the remaining timepieces of this period are in museums and one would have to search far and wide to find another similar clock retail. In good running order.
