The rectangular case surmounted by a celeste bleu urn reserved with a scene of a courting couple, mounted with ram's head handles and surmounted by a finial cast with overlapping acanthus leaves, the porcelain panel at the front centered with a circular dial with Roman numerals in black, painted to depict a rustic couple in eighteenth-century style dress, the man playing a flute, the ground painted with a scene of a shepherd with his flock, the side panels painted with similar idyllic landscapes, all highlighted with gilt and white and red 'jewels', the rectangular plinth inset with additional 'jeweled' porcelain plaques and resting on toupie feet - 16 3/4 in.
