The movement is housed in a nice mahogany veneered case with line inlay and original finish. A dry crack has developed on the front/ top of the case. There are small dings and scratches on various places on the case. The original porcelain dial has a crack at about 6 o'clock and a small chip at the winding arbor. The hands are original. The two beveled glasses in the case are perfect. We could not find this German, center wind movement in Terwilliger's repair guide [10th ed]; note also unique disc pendulum that is very similar to the Grivolas pendulum. Obviously this clock was meant to be a Grivolas look-alike for less money, even stating "Pendule 400 Jours" on the dial. Height 12.50Ó $200-$300
