C.1900, French, Unsigned Porcelain clock case, now with an Ansonia 8-day time and strike movement.

From the looks of the oxidation on the nuts and all thread used to secure the rear cover, this movement was probably put in the case around 1950. It does fit the case fine, and runs OK (better screws would be nice). There are some small losses to the delicate flowers and corner abrasion, but the figures and their fingers are all intact. Note crystal is absent from bezel. A very colorful and attractive case; if this still had its original movement, I would say it was worth around $2000. Height 17.25Ó $850-$1050
