4-glass, with a white marble base and urn, the whole decorated with ormolu in the shape of drooping vines and berries with ribbon accents, the urn with acanthus swags and a floral spray at the apex. The entire clock is in excellent original condition. The silk thread movement has anchor escapement, with a small verge that spans 3 teeth, count wheel striking on a bell, and a star shaped gilt pendulum. The movement has a concentric calendar with delicate star shaped calendar wheel and hand. The time hands are finely chased brass, brightly gilded. The porcelain dial is perfect with no hairlines nor evidence of repairs, and bears the maker's name in red, above the 12. This clock came to us from a home in Wellesley, Mass and has been well cared for. Height 16.75 inches
