Eureka Clock Co. Paris, France on the full backboard label.
The label is black and gold and occupies the bottom half of the case. The outstanding gold painted glass also has "Eureka" right in the middle. I did some research but did not satisfy myself about this clock. The only Eureka Clock Co. mentioned in the NAWCC Bulletin articles, is an English company that made battery clocks. This is a Gilbert Clock Co. OG, C. 1901, as far as I am concerned. The movement (signed Gilbert), gong, pendulum, case, everything is Gilbert. I will call the clock near perfect. The 26" rosewood veneer case is almost mint. I have never seen a nicer OG clock. You might find a nick somewhere, and the dial shows some wear, but basically it is just extremely nice. The movement is 8 day, spring driven, with a simple calendar and strikes a coil gong. Ly-Gilbert #202.
