Gustav Becker two weight Vienna Regulator, ca 1885.
In very good unrestored condition. The 52 inches walnut case has an old carved top, old finials, carved capitals and bases on the half columns, and others on the base. There are two brass buttons on the base. 8 day, two-weight movement has a nice slow pendulum swing, and running nicely. Brass has not been polished, but the pendulum ball and dial rings are brighter than the weights that are tarnished from handling. Two-piece porcelain dial is perfect, original hands, and decorative pulleys. The porcelain beat scale has lost the porcelain top, but still functional. Serial number on the signed movement is No. 558260. Strikes on one long rod. One tiny piece of veneer on a back corner has chipped and you can always find a nick or two where Pap Pa tried to carry the clock thru a doorway and banged it.
