C.1840, French, Delhaye, a' Boulogne, Portable Rosewood clock with silk thread suspension. Condition: made at the outset of organized production, this is an attractive clock with silvered brass dial, and well made bell strike movement. The movement has been cleaned and is running; rear plate marked by the maker as in headline. The rear of the case lifts out for access, movement visible through small side lights. Front glass lifts to wind and set hands. Note numeral 6 is rubbed off and should be painted in. Height 10 inches
