C.1890, German, LFS Uhrenfabrik, OPEN WELL HALL CLOCK, with around 32 pieces of bronze trim accenting the ebonized oak case, and with sunburst pendulum and fancy weights.
Anonymous (not verified)
22 October 2024
Condition: 3 bronze trim pieces are missing from the case, but examples are there to re-cast from. Movement has not been attended in 50 years and will need thorough cleaning. Someone added wings to the strike fly in an effort to slow the rate of strike. The original gong is missing, now with a gong from French mantel clock. Some moldings on the base are loose and need re-gluing. Oak veneer around the base moldings is chipped and will need replacement. Well made movement bears the LFS signature. There is lots of potential for the patient workman on this clock. If pristine, would be worth $10,000. Height 90 inches
