Lenzkirsch two weight Vienna Regulator, ca 1879. The serial number on the movement (462116) dates the clock 1879.
It is also signed, "Lenzkirsch / A.G.U." During that time period clocks of this style were called, "Transitional". The brass rectangular movement runs 8 days and strikes on a coil gong mounted behind the movement. The large two piece porcelain dial has a spider web between the 4 and 5, and is otherwise very nice. It has period hands, a pair of brass weights, porcelain beat scale, wall levelers, brass pulleys, and a very nice brass bob and wood stick. There are three good glasses in the 49" walnut case. The finials are all nice but I cannot say they are original to this case. Some trim is painted black for accent as was common in that period. The brass is polished, dial, movement, and the case, are all clean and polished. The movement is running and striking properly.
