Prentiss Improvement Clock Co., New York, "Empire with Calendar", 30 day, wall calendar timepiece, single winding arbor winds both springs at the same time, c1897 Mahogany case in original finish with the company name and the number "5004" stamped in the bottom front of the case. Based on the color of the case someone a long time ago cut out a small section of the case at the bottom probably to make it easier to slip the case off. A large portion of the original dial has flaked off and now has varnish coating to protect what is left. The calendar wheels are very clean. There is a bag of day plates in the case that are not currently mounted in the day rollers. Date movement assembly has the number 2484 stamped on it. Ht 37"
