German, Gustav Becker, 3-weight, grand sonnerie, "Vienna Regulator", finely engraved dial center, weights and pendulum, in an over-size oak case with carved top piece and fluted finials, c1890 the Becker movement is not original to this case, and there is a block of wood added to the case back to bring the dial up to the door glass, and that block is too thick, such that the door will not close. Although the brass dial and weights are polished, the movement itself, though complete, is very dirty and will need cleaning before operation. In spite of the work needed this is a case with extra detail and is very eye catching. Ht 64"
