France, small bracket clock with red shell veneer, classis bell top case with ormolu accents, the base with round cast feet, and the porcelain dial with polychrome floral accents and embossed hands in the Louis XVI style, and the movement signed L Marti & Cie, and with award medallion for1889, c1890 the case has lost a few bits of gilt edge quarter molding (3 pieces lacking at the base of the bell shaped top), other minor losses, however this is an exceptionally nice looking clock, worth of some restoration expense. Movement is clean and sound, striking on a gong. Ht 12" including feet and with handle up.
