Lenzkirch, Germany, Vienna Regulator wall clock in the Alt Deutsche style, 8 days, time and strike, weight driven movement marked with Lenzkirch hallmark in an oak case with applied carvings, flat reeded columns flanking door, a pediment top, white enamel dial, serial number 1160521, c1897 the clock retains its original finish nicely rubbed down. There are minor abrasions on top corner moldings, owing to missing corner trim. The three lower finials are replacements (should be fluted). The dial is in very good condition. Note this is Lenzkirch model No. 559, and calls for corner trim similar to that on the Howard model on the cover. You will find a line drawing on page 104 of ÒLenzkirch Clocks, the Unsigned StoryÓ.
