Lenzkirch, Germany, large ÓFreischwingerÒ, walnut case with embossed dial and large embossed pendulum, time and count wheel strike movement, serial Nr. 1,065,975, as-found, circa 1895. this clock was found without top with a broken seat-board and also missing finials, and with a bent bezel, having apparently suffered a fall. Amazingly, the basic case and the pendulum & movement survived intact. The top you see in photo is recent, carefully made, however its signs of newness are apparent; finials are new, turned to match a reference pattern. The gong is inside the case, having not been mounted. The case and top have been refinished to match in color. The front door has shrinkage openings at the 4 seams. The movement now clean and ticking.. Still has potential for someone willing to finish the restoration. Ht 40Ó
