German Eureka, battery powered, electro-magnetic timepiece mounted on brass base under dome with large exposed rotating balance.

This timepiece has been nicely restored to working condition as evidenced by the letter included describing the repair work performed. The dome is not original as this current dome is 5.75" in diameter. The dome should be about 6 3/8" in diameter to sit on the next level down from the top of the base. For reference please see the thorough examination of these German eureka's detailed on pages of 38 - 44 of F.G. Alan Shenton's "The eureka Clock".
