case is in excellent "as-found" condition, no attempts at restoration; oxidized patina on brass finials and overlay. The silk thread suspension movement has been cleaned and is ticking robustly. This clock is similar mechanically to the earliest Christian Huygens clocks made by Solomon Coster around 1657 in the Hague.
