Cuckoo Wall

German Cuckoo-Quail clock.

German Cuckoo-Quail clock. Movement is signed, "Huber Herr, Freiburg, Germany". The 30 hour clock is complete but will need at least one new bellows and possibly a cleaning and oiling before it will operate properly. Original birds, pendulum, and weights. Note the bird on the nest, both birds have glass eyes. Runs a while and quite, hence the C&O.

German wall cuckoo-quail, ca l900-1910.

Three train, 30 hour cast brass movement called the "Lyre" movement. It is not signed. The bellows have been replaced, clock is running but will need some adjustments before it will cook and gong properly. It is beyond my expertise to tinker with a cuckoo. Old wood bird. Large 27 inch case with very nice intricate carvings, including 3 large birds, 3 baby birds in the nest, all have glass eyes. 3 old weights and pendulum. No major breaks or repairs.
