Austria, Laterndluhr wall clock, 8 day, time only, weight driven movement with knife edge suspension in a mahogany veneer 9 light case with white enamel dial
the case has been refinished with extensive restorations. The dial has been completely restored with new enamel. The movement is period with jeweled endpoints added later. The back of the case has been glued extensively with more than one type of glue. There is evidence of wormholes on backboard. The case has some dings and dents to the corners and edges. Wood filler has been used on the case in a few spots. The glasses are modern replacements.
Telleruhr, roman numeral pewter dial with engraved brass center, mounted to a sheet iron backplate, with brass and iron hanger, the movement contained in a cylindrical, footed case, fastened by screws to the dial, the bottom hinged and with pivoted catch,
the timepiece appears to have been constructed using some early components, with the intent to make it appear as a genuine period object

Despite the abundance of dials, all but one are for show only. A small German time and strike spring driven movement runs the clock and strike. Height 13 inches

case retains remnants of its ebonized surface, rear feet replaced, case with minor dings and scratches, caddy top with a more severe dent and minor loss, finials replaced, handle on backwards, dial with minor tarnish and losses to silvering, hands with minor loss to blue, movement with fingerprint stains, ticking, strike and repeat functional, gathering pallet not moving rack far enough for successive teeth to reach hook, and so strikes until the spring winds down, stopwork removed
Austria, picture frame wall clock, 2 day, time and grande sonnerie, three train spring driven movement with silk thread suspension in a gilded wood frame with cast appliques, brass guilloche dial, and silvered chapter ring.
The gilding is in reasonably good condition. The outer frame is scratched at the corners and edges. A split runs from top to bottom of the wooden mask. The dial and the hands are in good condition with some oxidation. The hole that receives the taper pin on the center arbor is broken out, though a modern hand nut seems to keep them in place. The glass is wavy / old. The movement will need service. Nice pierced brass pendulum bob with floral motif.

Case would originally have been ebonized and is now naturual wood color with a smooth finish. Broken arch dial mask is cracked and repaired in several places. The pendulum has a soldered repair near where it connects to the pallet arbor. Dial is attractive but likely restored. Clock strikes the quarters first, then the hours.

The case has had repairs and restoration to the finish. The gilt mounts are good but date to later in the century. The dial is good with minor wear and scratches. The dial mask obscures a bit of the engraving. The dial/movement are a bit loose in the case. The movement has new steel cable on the fusee. Nice watch style back cock with double-headed eagle over a lion. Pendulum is fixed to pallet arbor.
