with ladder movement, as-found. This clock has been skinned of its veneer. However, it does retain original tablet (worn) and a good label. These labels are unique in that they state "Patent, Caveat filed, A.D. 1851". This was only a warning, not a patent. The sister to this clock is pictured in Palmer's Treasury of American Clocks, page 155. Height 10 inches
