miniature octagonal gallery clock. This clock has the rare double escape wheel movement, with iron back plate patented by Charles Kirk. The dial is original, with 5 percent flaking. The "Kirk's Patent" faintly visible on the dial. However the rear has a full blue label, with all pertinent information, including the patent date of April 1857. The rosewood case has been professionally refinished and is "like new", with attractive grain showing. The clock is running. Height 9 inches
