The clock is signed by C. MAUREL a Paris. It stands 4 to the top of the handle, 3 inches wide and 2 inches deep. The face is enameled and in very good condition. The back cover is engraved with PRIX MONTYON TM BREVETE MFNAILLE D'OR, REVEIL AND MOUVEMENT. On the bottom corner it is stamped 1ER and the bottom 'France'. The movement is stamped with the same markings. The brass case is in very good shape, with a few tarnish spots. This clock has a pendulum movement and a very loud alarm that is set by the curved arm on the face.
