Chelsea Babro No 38 Mantel Clock

This is an all-original Chelsea shelf or mantel clock in excellent condition. The case is mahogany and stands on four small brass ball feet. It has a 5 inch silvered dial in good condition with only a couple of small blemishes. The face is marked 'A Stowell and Co. Inc. Boston Mass' and 'Chelsea'. The glass is beveled and original. It has an 8-day lever movement running and keeping time. It strikes on the half hour and counts the hour. The movement is marked 'Chelsea Clock Co Boston Mass' with the serial number 109681 (dating it to 1915 to 1919). The clock stands 9 inches high, 7 inches wide and 5 inches deep. Chelsea key is included. Overall, this is an excellent timepiece in great original condition.
