A small Lancaster longcase thirty hour clock c 1780. It has several Lancaster features of which the most obvious is the fine architectural style which makes it an imposing clock. It has a painted scene in the arch and the dial has two dummy winders designed to make it look like an eight day clock, a feature found only around Lancaster in the 1780s.
