Ansonia " LA DUCHESSE" Enameled Iron with open dial, circa 1890

Ansonia clock. Only 3" thick. Lion heads. Case: Original finish and original dial. Enameled metal case 12" wide x 10.5" tall x 4.75" deep. Works: 8 day time and strike on hour and half hour on bell. Reference: Ansonia clocks by Tran Duy Ly. I got help. La Duchesse first came with a statue (1883) and later was sold without one (1886 and 1894 catalogs). It does not appear in the 1901 catalog, so it's definitely 19th century. Condition: Case - excellent, some spots on the top where enamel has failed, (see picture); Works and dial - excellent.
