An extremely original well made oak cased original verge escapement Austrian grand sonnerie bracket clock. The very finely foliate engraved dial with Dutch type silvered chapter ring, date aperture and two subsidiary dials with makers name plague signed "Augustin Heckel". The triple fusee Austrian movement of short duration (30-hour) with original verge escapement and fine engraving to backplate. Chiming the hours and quarters on two original nickeled bells rested in the top of the case. 21" x 11" x 6"
