Poplar and walnut case with eight day brass movement with rocking ship automaton. 57" tall x 13" wide. Fine condition. Dealer comments: When clock makers discovered that clock buyers liked automated moving features on the dial they began to produce all sorts of action designs. One of the most popular was the rocking ship style which is featured in the arch of this granddaughter floor clock. As the clock ticks the sailing ship sways back and forth in front of an ocean scene. Additional keywords: longcase, tallcase, grandfather
