French carriage clock, in a "Boite Jonc" type case first made popular by the French clock company Duverdrey and Bloquel. Platform escapement is original; movement is in good working order. Bright white enamel dial is perfect. Rhinestones decorate the case with other colored stones. Case shows a nice patina and slight wear, particularly on top, but the original 24 carat gold finish is in good shape. There is a monogram MMME with the date 7-20-43 on top of the case. A fine example of one the fancier style carriage clocks made. The dimensions of this clock are 6.25' x 3.25" x3". Running duration 8 Days
