a good 8-day double deck stenciled column with carved fruit bowl splat. This clock has a new tablet (military theme with flags), but is otherwise quite original. The label has some stains and a hole below the makers' name, but is generally good as well; equation of time charts are intact. The dial has some small cracks lower left but is very good with original gilding and chapter intact. These movements take a lot of power and the previous owner added about a half pound of lead to the top of each iron weight. The original stenciling on the columns is fabulous. Minor veneer chip by key lock in lower door. If this were in all original condition we would rate a $1600 clock, and our estimate is adjusted accordingly. Height 37" $900-1200
