Refer to Ken Roberts book, Eli Terry and the Connecticut Shelf Clock. A clock similar to this is shown on page 165, and a clock identical is shown on pg 166, copy of an ad from the U. S. Gazette, Jan 22, 1828. This clock retains original tablet, touched up in place (well done); appears to have had pineapple finials at one time (OK without). The weights were down, but the cotton cord needs replacing. Although the clock ticks and strikes and has all teeth intact, one wheel on the time side is splitting and needs gluing. Case has top dust cover, that slides out for service. Good label; Height 30'
