with ringing bell in belfry. Refer to Tardy's La Pendule Francaise, part II, page 451, for photo of nearly identical clock on display at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. This clock is in outstanding original condition. There is minor wear to the silver and some oxidation, but overall it is very bright and eye catching. Has a fancy cast and gilt pendulum that is visible when the clock is against a light surface, as there is a small window behind the alcove. Has a well made movement that strikes on a regular bell behind the movement, and the hammer with a string up to the bell in the belfry. Height 23" (60cm) Reserve $3750
