with hand painted panes in base. This is a very sweet theme, a young girl with curly locks sitting on a fancy silk cushion with tassels, and holding her cocker spaniel in her arms, her chin resting on the dogs head. The dogs ball is on the floor to the right of the clock. The original gilding is very bright. The dial has an old repair by the numeral 11 which is not too noticeable. Has a well made silk thread movement, signed Japy Freres, and with award stamp for the year 1844; movement numbered 708. Height 11 inches (28cm) Reserve $2000
