in exceptional condition. The well made, engraved and skeletonized balance/verge movement is powered by the sheer weight of the secondary striking movement, which slides down inside the "stick". Extensions on the back of the movable time markers trip the mechanism which strikes on a small bell. A brass pointer attached to the strike movement protrudes through a groove along the vertical dial to indicate the time visually. Key drawer in the base (no key). This is an especially small clock for a striker. Height 18.5" (47cm) Reserve $3750
