C.1850, Smith and Goodrich, Bristol, Conn, Sub-mini 30 hour round band

in good condition. The case has been refinished and there are some cracks and bubbles in the veneer (not bad, but there). Retains original dial (numerals strengthened long ago), and an excellent label. Best part is the great geometric tablet in white, dark pink and green. Interestingly, the bottom left corner of the door was originally inlet for the hinge (on the wrong side); the wood is aged nicely and a hinge was never installed; improper hands. See also lots 109 and 114 onward for additional fusees. Height 15" Reserve $600
