C.1860, French, Morbier 2-Weight, Prayer repeat wall clock in good condition, clean and running. The dial surround and pendulum have been sprayed gold in lieu of cleaning, and might be better stripped and polished. The porcelain dial is original and perfect, as are the hands; the dial prominently signed Tisserand, a`Vonnas. This heavy movement uses an "anchor" escapement, and strikes the hour on a heavy coiled gong and then repeats the hour at 2 minutes after. Right side door is loose. This robust movement, if maintained will last indefinitely. Note dial surround is loose and needs 4 proper machine screws to hold it in place. Dial 9", height 58" Reserve $450
