with sailing ship in the alcove below the dial, as-found. This clock needs some attention, but is mechanically sound and the music box and ship will play and pitch when wound, but the on-off mechanism is not working. You can see in the image that the "ocean" of paper has torn and needs some repair. The time and strike movement is sound but would benefit from service. When the music plays, the ship pitches to and fro as if sailing through rough seas; it is wound with a pull cord. We have had many French picture frame clocks, but this is only the second animated with music we have had. Height 28" $750-1000
