with Maranville Patent calendar mechanism, and in very good original condition. The only minor shortcomings that keep this from being excellent are some chips in the rosewood veneer chips along the margin of the octagon. Otherwise, this is just about the nicest original example of this model we have seen. Full details of this Civil War era clock may be found in Ly's book titled Calendar Clocks (1993), pages 79-80. Paper lining inside case intact; original pendulum and key. Height 23" $700-900
