striking grand sonnerie on two coiled gongs. This clock comes from the Bednarik collection and had been in storage. The suspension spring is broken, and the "tail" of the minute hand is broken away. The well made 72 beat movement is very dirty and will need cleaning prior to operation (both strike trains function properly and it ticks OK). The masculine case retains original dark purple finish and has a unique combination of twisty and turned columns as door trim; minor nicks need touch-up. Movement appears to be original to the case and the seat board fits the slides snugly. With original wooden handle key. Height 59" $1750-2250
