opalescent enamel over silver, with hand painted cherub displays. The silver has a gentle damascene pattern that reflects through the translucent white enamel. The case hardware is gold over silver (excluding movement and dial), with some oxidation. The top and base have 3 winged cherubs in cameos, while the front cameo depicts a distraught woman at the sea-shore with a crying cherub nearby. This clock is half again as large as the previous lot, same fine quality throughout. These were very expensive gifts when new. Height 7" Reserve $3850
