This frame pattern is often seen with a pendulum detent and sometimes a chronometer escapement, however, this one has a more conventional recoil escapement. The wheels are all nicely spoked (including motion wheels), and the original chain is intact. Much of the silvering has been rubbed off the dial, but it is still quite legible. Information on this maker and his work can be found in the book titled British Skeleton Clocks, by Derek Roberts (1987). Note the dial bears retailer's signature: AGAR and SONS, BURY. NO dome. Height 17" Reserve $1100
