This is a very large (and heavy) clock, featuring two cherubs amongst scrolls and waves, boy holding a cockatiel, the girl with flowers. The gilding on this clock is still quite brilliant (with wear on some edges and corners), and it is very impressive. The ormolu dial has 12 individual porcelain signets, all in perfect shape. The pendulum is a well detailed ormolu shell at the end of a steel rod. Bell strike movement signed G. Philippe, Palais Royal; Height 24.5'
