the central tower profusely decorated with scrolls and faces, and supported by 4 giant gargoyles eating grapes.The tower is surmounted by a large urn with acanthus swags. The dial with individual cartouche numerals, all perfect. The movement is clean and going; suspension spring needs renewing ($2). It is all one man can do to lift this clock; impressive. Height 27" Reserve $2500
