The strongly powered movement will resume running when the vacuum is released. The dial is clearly inscribed pneumatic time, patented June 15, 1875, and with a nickel plated movement of the same era. The basic unit measures 3 x 4' , with a dial of 2' diameter. Runs, but needs adjustment. A curiosity.
