C.1880, French, Drocourt, Paris, for Henry Capt, Geneve, brass cased carriage clock, time, strike, repeat and alarm. The cannelee case on this clock retains attractive gilding, and the beveled glass is all perfect. Porcelain dial is perfect as well (signed Henry Capt, Geneve). The movement is signed with Drocourt's DÕ C trademark in an oval (little carriage clock in center), and with serial number 9471. The strike spring broke at some point, taking out a couple of teeth on the going barrel, and they have been replaced, and there is evidence of the repair. Retains original lever platform; runs and strikes, but would benefit from service. Height 6.5" See next lot also for sister clock! Reserve $1500
