with rotating torsion pendulum. This clock uses the same articulated crank movement (Marti mfg, Guilmet design) that is used in a traditional mystery clock with oscillating pendulum. Instead of the statue twisting back and forth, in this one the long tube under the dial twists back and forth (an imperceptible amount). A long torsion spring, attached at the top of the tube, is holding the elaborate carousel pendulum, which rotates back and forth, seemingly without connection to the movement. This clock has been professionally restored, the canister polished (that holds the movement), and it is running briskly. Height 28" Reserve $13,000
