clock and barometer in a very unusual form. The "fort" is a round brick tower (silvered brass), with parapets with 4 flaming canon, and the rotating top carousel with armor and 8 canon which in the original were fired in quick succession, the empty canon being re-loaded in the time it takes to travel full circle. The 4 feet are each stacks of 4 canon balls, and above stand the packaged powder charges. Flanking the dial are two larger canon. The canon are non-firing, and under the top carousel is a spring motor, which turns the canon assembly for a time. The 8-day time and strike movement has a balance/platform escapement, and is running but would benefit from service. The movement is slightly loose in its sleeve. We have not seen this clock before, and are estimating it with the rarer automatons. Height 26" $10,000-12,000
