The door has some minor dry splits but all the carving is intact and it closes snugly. The well made movement is signed "FG' on the rear plate and without serial number. The porcelain chapter ring has some spider cracks. Dial center, weights and pendulum have matched etching. Strikes full quarters on steel rods. Although there is a wooden spacer under the mounting bracket, there are no extra holes and movement is original to the case. The veneer on the tapered base has two small chips that can be filled in and will not show; Height 54'
