This is a late Victorian clock, with simple scalloped dial, silvered and painted, but not engraved. The chain has broken and been replaced with brass cable. With 4 spoked wheels, note motion wheels are solid. The old dome is a replacement and does not fit well in the base channel. However the dome is still the correct size for the clock and the base can be corrected to fit this dome well. The frame of the clock is a simple scroll pattern, well executed, and is held aloft by 4 turned brass finials. This frame design was popular from its inception in 1830 right through the end of the century. Pendulum has been dropped and bottom dented; will need work for proper rating. Height of base and clock: 13", total height with dome 15" . Reserve $900
