This is an attractive size clock. The turned wood base is original, but split from the center hole outward, and has been filled. The statue and arm retain original finish, and the attractive young girl has just set down her palette of paint and brushesŠ.the statue with a brass plaque on the base titled PEINTURE or 'painting', after Rousseau, and the statue itself signed Ruffony. The arm has some dirt and rust on the rods that someone has tried to scrape off, and the rear of the ball with minor dent. The suspension unit has come loose in transit and will need attention for the clock to run (ticks OK). Height is only 20 inches (ball diam is 2") Reserve $3100
