8-day time and strike on a gong. The hand carved frame is profusely carved with grape leaves and scrolls, and is very 3-dimensional. The 8" wooden dial has 12 porcelain signet numerals, in good condition. The well made French movement had the tip to the minute shaft broken and the minute hand was peened on in place long ago. Now that the movement is quite dirty, you will have to attend to the shaft in order to run the clock (the movement is otherwise sound). Every thing on the clock is original, and if you want this as a decorator, it's about as nice as they come. Height 26" Reserve $600
